New TV Pilot features Newcastle native
Melita Ann Sagar
For those brave enough to seek an acting career, the road can be a
tough one (and we've all heard the stories). Newcastle
resident Melita Ann Sagar is performing
in a pilot series produced by David Beatty.
The name of the series is Lien on Me, a witty and twisted depiction
of a Real Estate agent who has all the homes in his area listed, but
can't sell any of them! His personal finances, family and
complicated social and business ties make for a strange, yet hilarious
comedy somewhat reminiscent of Weeds and Melita Sagar plays the part of
Laura Jenkins, CEO of Happy Endings Realty. She is single and a
scorpio. She is a delicate balance of elegance and rugged
individualism, like going camping with double-quilted toilet
paper.
(Take a look at the cast and watch a couple
of clips - I love it (of course, being in Real Estate, I can totally
relate!! Terri)
www.lienonmetheseries.com
Melita is a native to Newcastle California. Her father, who is now 86
years old, still lives in Newcastle and she visits him frequently. Her
dream, one day, is to start a theater in Newcastle and bring her own
brand of entertainment to her hometown. Melissa is an actor,
following her dreams, mother of two children... and she is currently
working on a theatrical piece titled, "memories of an old man"
which revolves around her father.

RENTALS
NEEDED
Although I do not manage rental
properties, I have had a large number of calls - people looking for
homes to rent. There seems to be a shortage in rental homes at
this time. If you have a rental property and would like me to post
that on this web site - no charge, no obligation, I would be happy to do
so. I will post your contact information so that calls go directly
to you.
Thanks!

Interstate 80 Vertical Clearance Project
The
California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is developing a
project to increase the vertical clearance of eight overcrossings (OC)
and one railroad underpass (UP) on Interstate 80 (I*)) in Placer
County. The overall goal of this project is to bring clearance up
to the current standard of 16 feet 6 inches.
Brace Road OC
Horseshoe Bar OC
King Road OC
Penryn Road OC
Gilardi Road OC
Newcastle Road OC
Newcastle UP
Weimar Cross Road OC
Magra OC
When and Where:
Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Newcastle Elementary School, 8951 Valley View Drive, Newcastle
Update on Meeting:
This meeting was informal
gathering of Caltrans employees and stationary graphic boards used to
explain the schedules, procedures, detours and individual overcrossings.
I thought the format was very good and informative, allowing interested
parties to ask questions at each station. Highlights were:
-
Work scheduled to begin in
the spring of 2013, finishing in the winter of 2014.
-
Each overcrossing/underpass
will take about two months for renovation.
-
Cost is about $27 million
-
Local traffic primary
impacted (for the entire two months, per overcrossing); I-80
disruptions will only occur for about two days, when the actual
raising of the overcross occurs.
-
During construction,
adjacent overcrossings/underpasses will remain open.
-
Largest impact will
probably be during local rush hours (mostly schools) and to
emergency response vehicles.
-

Caltrans.
